23. Castle Hohenzollern, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. An ancient fortress castle 50 km south of Stuttgart, was built in 1267, and rebuilt in 1867. The castle houses the crown of Wilhelm II, some personal belongings of Frederick the Great, as well as a letter of thanks from George Washington, which was addressed to Baron von Steuben.
