10. Kilkenny, Ireland. The castle is on the top of the hill, and is Ireland’s main attraction. For many centuries this fortress was owned by the dynasty of Count Betler, and in 1967 the Count’s heir handed it to the society for £ 50. Since then, everything that has been collected over the centuries has become available to the general public.
